2025 Sport Innovation Challenge – AI & Robotics Finalists Announced

Five startups selected to present at THE SPOT 2025 in Lausanne
ThinkSport and ABSG is pleased to announce the Top 5 finalists of the 2025 Sport Innovation Challenge (SIC) – AI & Robotics, chosen from 71 international applicants. These startups will pitch their innovations, in person, at the final taking place THE SPOT on 13 May 2025 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
Meet the 5 Finalists – AI & Robotics:
1.PickEat – AI-powered event F&B platform optimizing operations and enhancing fan experience.
2.SoftSocket – Revolutionizing active-user prosthetics with lightweight, self-adjustable sockets.
3.PluggableAI – Measuring real-time fan emotional connections using non-intrusive sensors.
4.CONTRA – Creating the future of connected racquet sports with intelligent racquet tech.
5.MindMetrix – Neurofeedback tool measuring and training athlete mental performance.
This year’s AI & Robotics challenge attracted a diverse range of technologies leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation to transform the sports ecosystem. From performance enhancement to fan engagement and health monitoring, the challenge has become a key platform for emerging talent.
The 20 semi-finalists received tailored in-kind support thanks to our benefit providers: the Digital Sports Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Technical Economics, Beyond Expo, Xia Men Jimei International Cooperation Center, Global Sports Intelligent Manufacture Center (GSIMC), AquaBloom Ballogy International (ABI), and SGLA (Chengdu) Law Firm, etc.
The challenge is delivered in partnership with AquaBloom Group, and supported by the SIC Challenge Board, whose expertise and mentorship played a pivotal role in the selection process.
The finalists will benefit from increased visibility, networking opportunities, and business development support at THE SPOT. InvestHK is also backing the finalist cohort as they prepare for the next stage of growth.
