After its successful bid, Beijing became the first city in the history of the Olympic Games to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics Games. It is also the second capital city to host the Winter Olympics Games exactly 70 years after Oslo, Norway, in 1952.

Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Games has 7 major events, 15 sub-events, and 109 small events. Beijing itself will host the ice project, Zhangjiakou will host the snow project, and as for Yanqing, it will co-organize the Zhangjiakou snow project.
