ABSG and IAPS form all-round strategic partnership
AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group Limited (“ABSG”) signed a strategic agreement with Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy, Taiwan Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (“IAPS”). The two platforms will work hand in hand to contribute to the development Sports and SportsTech industry of the Cross-strait Four Regions and Asia-Pacific Region. This is also by far the only cooperation platform dedicated to the SportsTech & Innovation in the Cross-strait Four Regions. ABSG is pleased to welcome another world-class partner to its established global ecosystem and business network.
Founded in 2013, IAPS (Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy, Taiwan Yang Ming Chiao Tung University) is a tech-oriented and university-affiliated startup accelerator, areas of focus of which include SportsTech. To date, IAPS has worked with 1000+ startups and lab techs. Each year under their programs, the cohorts raise ~10-11 million USD. IAPS has also been credited as the top 1 accelerator in the APAC region and top 7 globally by UBI Global in 2015. IAPS is also the only platform dedicated to SportsTech ecosystem in Taiwan.
The vision from the founder of IAPS, Dr. Hank Huang, is to provide startups with a trustworthy and value-added ecosystem. Our goal is to empower Taiwan's innovation ecosystem to be recognized and to make contributions to the world.
Core Business of IAPS including:
1.Sports Tech Accelerator (6-month): The mission is to establish and expand the sports innovation ecosystem across the Asia-Pacific region. The Sports Tech Accelerator aims to seamlessly connect sports technology resources throughout the Asia-Pacific region, unite sports technology accelerators, and craft a robust sports technology Asia hub. With 104 startups from 22 countries in our ecosystem, we’ve successfully accelerated an international network for cross-industry collaboration.
Mr. Mike Yang, Founder&CEO of ABSG, has been invited by IAPS to participate in and support its SportsTech Accelerator program as a judge and event speaker in previous editions.
2.Market Access Programs:
Access To Taiwan(A2T): a market access sprint program specifically designed for non-Taiwanese Tech startups to engage the Taiwan startup ecosystem. The program is a great opportunity for overseas startups to access Taiwan’s manufacturing, R&D and traditional high-tech industries as well as our deep tech talent pool.
Access To Asia(A2A): a 4-months Asia market access acceleration program for startups. Enrolled startups will be collaborating with overseas partners, mentors, investors and participating in online or physical workshops for the international market. IAPS provides a one–stop service for startups to explore multi-national business and funding opportunities among Asia.
2023 marks IAPS' 10th anniversary, having supported the growth of over a thousand startups and research teams. Looking ahead, IAPS is committed to further collaboration with industry, government, academia, and research partners.
