Innovation Challenge Updates | 98 high-quality applications from 28 countries, 40+ top-notch supporting partners and high-value collective benefits

The 2025 Global Sports AI & Robotics Innovation Challenge, jointly initiated by ThinkSport (a global sports innovation platform co-founded by the International Olympic Committee and the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland) and AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group ("ABSG", the Global Exclusive Lead Partner), officially closed its project application on March 19. With the semi-finalist list set to be announced soon, this milestone moment marks the beginning of an even more thrilling phase in this pinnacle event for the global sports technology sector!

Since its launch, this global innovation challenge has quickly garnered widespread attention and active participation from the industry. Within just a few weeks, the event received strong support from over 40 top-tier domestic and international organizations and institutions, including multiple international sports federations (such as FIFA, FIBA, WBSC, FEI, WFSGI, etc.), sports technology platforms, globally renowned universities, leading tech companies, and investment firms. In terms of applications, the innovation challenge received 98 high-quality submissions from 28 countries and regions, covering many leading nations in the sports industry and hubs of technological innovation, including China (including Hong Kong), the United States, Switzerland, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands, etc.

To ensure the fairness and authority of the evaluation process, the event has specially invited a panel of globally renowned sports technology experts to form the judging committee. Leveraging their extensive industry experience and professional knowledge, these seasoned experts are conducting high-standard, multi-dimensional assessments of all submitted projects. After rigorous screening and evaluation, the 20 most innovative and promising projects will emerge and advance to the semi-finals.
